By Car: Take Sheikh Zayed Road (E10) toward Sweihan/Al Ain, following signs for Liwa. Continue on this route until you reach your destination.
By Taxi: You can take a taxi from anywhere in Abu Dhabi directly to Liwa. It’s a well-known destination, so most drivers will know the way.

Liwa is about a 3 hour drive from Abu Dhabi. A 4x4 is ideal if you plan to go off-roading or into the dunes.

Come prepared to Liwa, especially if you’re planning on camping overnight! Bring lightweight clothing, a jacket for evenings, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and plenty of water. A power bank and flashlight are also useful.
Yes, camping is safe! However, we highly recommend camping with a guide or group if you’re new to the desert. Inform someone of your location and ensure you're prepared with adequate supplies.
